Our Mission

Recovery at Timber Trails provides men and women at risk the opportunity to overcome the destructive lifestyle of addiction, incarceration, and poverty.
We provide a protected environment (drug-free and alcohol-free) for men and women to grow, lead useful and purposeful lives, and become productive members of society.

Our Program:

  • Recovery at Timber Trails is a nonprofit organization serving Henderson, Smith, and surrounding counties.
  • We offer safe, comfortable, and affordable housing in great neighborhoods.
  • We provide a structured environment with the peer support necessary for recovering alcoholics and addicts to achieve long-term sobriety.
  • Our directors have extensive sobriety and are passionate about recovery.  They mentor residents by sharing their experience, strength, and hope.
  • TDCJ Approved Alternate Housing (Dreamcatcher Only)
  • We offer a time-tested 12-step program of recovery
  • Our residents attend AA or NA  meetings regularly and have frequent contact with a local sponsor while completing the twelve steps of recovery.
  • Each resident pays a weekly fee for accommodations (Fees vary by location.).
  • Our program is all-inclusive. The weekly fee covers general housing expenses: rent, utilities, TV internet, and meals (breakfast, lunch & dinner)
  • Each resident is expected to obtain local employment within three days of entering the residence.
  • Each resident is expected to contribute to the household by performing daily duties such as cooking, cleaning, trash, and yard work.
  • To ensure the safety of our residents and the integrity of our mission, all residents are randomly drug-tested and breathalyzed.
  • Recovery at Timber Trails does not accept insurance, state funding, or money from family members. An integral part of your recovery is learning to become self-sufficient and responsible

What We Do

Our focus is on providing an affordable and positive environment for men and women to grow and be successful in recovery.

It is our goal to have recovering alcoholics and addicts leave our sober living residences with the ability to be totally self-sufficient; emotionally, physically, spiritually and financially; and with the necessary skills for living independently, free of drugs or alcohol.

Recovery at Timber Trails is dedicated to guiding men and women in the recovery process. We mentor our residents in developing life skills and creating a successful plan for living in recovery.
